We'll learn how much the lives of bees, plants and people are interwoven in everyday life — that we (bees, plants and humans) are basically dependent upon each other.

Nancy Ruppert, has worked for the NC Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services since August of 2010, covering 17 counties in south-central and southeastern North Carolina. A registered nurse since the 1980s, Nancy worked almost 20 years as a family practitioner before changing to a less stressful occupation. She has been an active beekeeper for 20 years at her residence in Montgomery County. Her particular apiary interests include hive pests and diseases, honeybee nutrition, and reducing honeybee stress.
