The deadline has been extended for entries for the North Carolina State Fair Flower Show, due to Hurricane Florence. All entries need to be in by September 21. More information here.
Plant Delights Nursery has added an extra weekend for their Fall Open House September 21-23. In addition to their fabulous and unusual plants for sale, there will be educational talks at 10:00 and 2:00 each day, food trucks, garden art and a self-guided tour of Juniper Level Botanic Garden should not be missed!
The National Wildlife Federation is sponsoring a Garden For Wildlife Photo Contest in cooperation with National Garden Clubs. Entry deadline is October 12.

Guests welcome! Meetings are the first Wednesday of each month at 10:30-1:00, and are usually held at the NC State University Club (full details below). Meetings include a catered lunch so reservations must be made by the Wednesday before each meeting.
Reservations and Cancellations Required
To ensure we have enough seats, reservations are REQUIRED even if you choose "No Lunch", Guests can request a reservation here. Members reserve through your emailed invitation or follow the instructions on the Meeting Reservations webpage.
Our caterers charge for everyone who reserves a space. If you are unable to attend, please remember to cancel to avoid receiving an invoice.
Cost of Lunch
Lunch is $19.00. This includes gratuity and a set-up fee of $2.00 per person. Those requesting “no lunch” must still pay the $2.00 set-up fee. Please do not bring food or beverages of any kind to our luncheons. - this is a State Health Code violation.
