Rose Gardening: Destroying the Myth - C.J. Dykes

C.J. is a life-long gardener. He grows a blend of annuals, perennials, trees, and shrubs with a huge collection of over 100 roses of all types. He states that “plants and gardens are his passion.” He earned an Associate degree in Horticulture/Floriculture at the University of Maryland and a B.S. degree in Plant Biology from Salisbury University in Maryland. For the past 31 years, he has managed the landscape maintenance of over 200 schools in Wake County.

C. J. will cover the basics of growing roses from the initial planting to the simple monthly care it takes to keep them looking good. He will cover several insect and disease pests that are of major concern and several that you can just ignore and they will resolve on their own
