Mona King is an award-winning interior architect and biophilic design specialist bridging built environments and the natural world. Holding degrees in Interior Architecture from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (magna cum laude) and Fine Arts from Indiana University, she is LEED GA certified, a former IIDA Associate, and Certified Arts Leader Kenan Institute . Her multidisciplinary practice encompasses interior design, public art, and nature- inspired installations exhibited at Revolution Mill in Greensboro, NC, the Milton Rhodes Center, Winston-Salem, NC, the Arts Council of Fayetteville, NC and Art Fields, Lake City, SC . Notable projects include private collections, the Kenan Institute for the Arts, and “Resilience, Still I Rise”, public installation in downtown Winston-Salem, NC. King has presented at North Carolina A&T, UNCSA’s Kenan Institute, Salem College, Paul J. Ceiner Botanical Gardens, and Garden Club of North Carolina Centennial among other locations.
